Research cycle phases

Units and volumes recompute from your Step 1 concentration (2 mL BAC → 5.00 mg/mL · 50.0 mcg/unit). Doses below are once daily during the course — not weekly.

Standard course

Published dose-ranging used 1 mg, 4 mg, or 8 mg SC daily for 28 days; 4 mg/day is a frequently cited reference dose.

ARA-290 10 mg vials

10 vials

~91 mg mg total peptide over this 28-day course at 1 mg → 4 mg per injection (phase ladder). Each vial holds 10 mg.

Bacteriostatic water

7 × 3 mL or 2 × 10 mL

2 mL BAC per vial × 10 vials = 20.0 mL total. Buy as 7× 3 mL bottles or 2× 10 mL bottles (whichever you stock).

U-100 insulin syringes (100-unit)

28+ syringes

About one 100-unit syringe per injection for this schedule. Keep a few spares.

Alcohol swabs & sharps

~76 swabs · 1 sharps container

Wipe vial stopper and injection site each time. Dispose needles in a proper sharps container.

Reconstitution steps

  1. Allow the lyophilized 10 mg ARA-290 vial and bacteriostatic water to reach room temperature.
  2. Draw 2.0 mL bacteriostatic water (default for this guide).
  3. Inject BAC slowly down the inner wall of the vial — avoid blasting the powder cake.
  4. Gently swirl or roll until the solution is clear. Do not shake hard (foaming).
  5. Label with recon date and concentration (e.g. "5.0 mg/mL — 2 mL BAC").
  6. Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35–46 °F), protected from light. Prefer using a reconstituted multi-dose vial within ~28 days with sterile technique.

Storage

Lyophilized

Keep dry powder cold and dark when possible (−20 °C / −4 °F preferred for long-term research stock).

Reconstituted

Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35–46 °F). Avoid freeze–thaw of the working solution. Prefer finishing within ~28 days.

  • ·Write recon date and BAC volume on the label.
  • ·Protect from light during storage.
  • ·Discard if cloudy, particulates, or odd odor appear after reconstitution.

Protocol notes

  • ·ARA-290 (cibinetide) is an EPO-derived peptide engineered toward innate repair receptor pathways.
  • ·Trial designs are short courses (often 28 days).
  • ·Research use only.

Research context & considerations

Cibinetide/ARA-290 has been studied in small-fiber neuropathy and related innate-repair literature.

  • ·Injection-site reactions can occur.
  • ·Not FDA-approved for consumer research-vial use as a medicine.
  • ·Pregnancy and breastfeeding are outside research-hobby scope.
