DSIP 2 mg

Educational recon guide for a 2 mg DSIP (delta sleep-inducing peptide) research vial and microgram evening unit mapping. Research use only.

Defaults match this guide (2 mg + 1 mL BAC). Change water or dose and the unit tables below update automatically.

Step 1

Reconstitution

Research cycle phases

Units and volumes recompute from your Step 1 concentration (1 mL BAC → 2.00 mg/mL · 20.0 mcg/unit). Doses below are once daily during the course — not weekly.

Standard course

Secondary research-community tables most often cite ~100–300 mcg once in the evening; some write-ups titrate toward ~400–500 mcg. Historical human sleep work used different routes/doses — treat injectable mcg tables as recon math only.

Bacteriostatic water

2 × 3 mL or 1 × 10 mL

1 mL BAC per vial × 5 vials = 5.0 mL total. Buy as 2× 3 mL bottles or 1× 10 mL bottle (whichever you stock).

U-100 insulin syringes (100-unit)

42+ syringes

About one 100-unit syringe per injection for this schedule. Keep a few spares.

Alcohol swabs & sharps

~94 swabs · 1 sharps container

Wipe vial stopper and injection site each time. Dispose needles in a proper sharps container.

Reconstitution steps

  1. Allow the lyophilized 2 mg DSIP vial and bacteriostatic water to reach room temperature.
  2. Draw 1.0 mL bacteriostatic water (default for this guide).
  3. Inject BAC slowly down the inner wall of the vial — avoid blasting the powder cake.
  4. Gently swirl or roll until the solution is clear. Do not shake hard (foaming).
  5. Label with recon date and concentration (e.g. "2.0 mg/mL — 1 mL BAC").
  6. Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35–46 °F), protected from light. Prefer using a reconstituted multi-dose vial within ~28 days with sterile technique.

Storage

Lyophilized

Keep dry powder cold and dark when possible (−20 °C / −4 °F preferred for long-term research stock).

Reconstituted

Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35–46 °F). Avoid freeze–thaw of the working solution. Prefer finishing within ~28 days.

  • ·Write recon date and BAC volume on the label.
  • ·Protect from light during storage.
  • ·Discard if cloudy, particulates, or odd odor appear after reconstitution.

Protocol notes

  • ·DSIP (delta sleep-inducing peptide) is a nonapeptide historically studied for sleep architecture and stress models; modern evidence is mixed.
  • ·Calculator doses are milligrams: 0.1 mg = 100 mcg; 0.2 mg = 200 mcg.
  • ·Many write-ups place the injection in the evening before intended sleep — not a daytime stimulant stack.
  • ·Research use only. Not medical advice for insomnia.

Research context & considerations

DSIP was isolated in the 1970s and investigated for sleep promotion, stress, and related CNS models. Results have been inconsistent across eras and preparations. Research-market vials are not approved sleep medicines.

  • ·Daytime sedation or vivid dreams are occasionally discussed anecdotally.
  • ·Not a substitute for evaluation of sleep apnea, depression, or other medical sleep disorders.
  • ·Not FDA-approved as a consumer sleep drug via research vials.
  • ·Pregnancy and pediatric use are outside research-hobby scope.
