Step 1
Reconstitution
Peptide amount in the vial and how much bacteriostatic water you add.
Step 2
Your dose
This guide uses microgram-scale research doses — quick picks are in mcg (100 mcg = 0.1 mg).

Suggested: 30-unit barrel (smallest that fits this draw).

Research cycle phases
Units and volumes recompute from your Step 1 concentration (2 mL BAC → 5.00 mg/mL · 50.0 mcg/unit). Doses below are once daily during the course — not weekly.
Standard course
No validated human dose. Secondary experimental tables for humanin / HNG-class analogs often discuss roughly ~0.5–2 mg subcutaneous daily for multi-week research courses. Catalog “Humanin” may not equal potent analogs (e.g. HNG).

Humanin 10 mg vials
4 vials
~35 mg mg total peptide over this 42-day course at 500 mcg → 1 mg per injection (phase ladder). Each vial holds 10 mg.
Bacteriostatic water
3 × 3 mL or 1 × 10 mL
2 mL BAC per vial × 4 vials = 8.0 mL total. Buy as 3× 3 mL bottles or 1× 10 mL bottle (whichever you stock).
U-100 insulin syringes (100-unit)
42+ syringes
About one 100-unit syringe per injection for this schedule. Keep a few spares.
Alcohol swabs & sharps
~92 swabs · 1 sharps container
Wipe vial stopper and injection site each time. Dispose needles in a proper sharps container.
Reconstitution steps
- Allow the lyophilized 10 mg Humanin vial and bacteriostatic water to reach room temperature.
- Draw 2.0 mL bacteriostatic water (default for this guide).
- Inject BAC slowly down the inner wall of the vial — avoid blasting the powder cake.
- Gently swirl or roll until the solution is clear. Do not shake hard (foaming).
- Label with recon date and concentration (e.g. "5.0 mg/mL — 2 mL BAC").
- Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35–46 °F), protected from light. Prefer using a reconstituted multi-dose vial within ~28 days with sterile technique.
Storage
Lyophilized
Keep dry powder cold and dark when possible (−20 °C / −4 °F preferred for long-term research stock).
Reconstituted
Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35–46 °F). Avoid freeze–thaw of the working solution. Prefer finishing within ~28 days.
- ·Write recon date and BAC volume on the label.
- ·Protect from light during storage.
- ·Discard if cloudy, particulates, or odd odor appear after reconstitution.
Protocol notes
- ·Mitochondrial-derived peptide researched for cytoprotection / metabolism / aging models.
- ·Human clinical dosing is not established.
- ·Research use only.
Research context & considerations
Humanin is a mitochondrial-derived peptide with extensive preclinical literature. Research powders are not approved drugs; analogs (e.g. HNG) differ from native sequence products.
- ·Unknown long-term human safety.
- ·Not FDA-approved.
- ·Pregnancy out of scope.
