Live reconstitution calculator

Defaults match this guide (5 mg + 2 mL BAC). Change water or dose and the unit tables below update automatically.

Step 1

Reconstitution

Peptide amount in the vial and how much bacteriostatic water you add.

Your dose

This guide uses microgram-scale research doses — quick picks are in mcg (100 mcg = 0.1 mg).

Research cycle phases

Units and volumes recompute from your Step 1 concentration (2 mL BAC → 2.50 mg/mL · 25.0 mcg/unit). Doses below are once daily during the course — not weekly.

Standard course

Orexin/hypocretin peptides regulate wake and appetite circuitry. There is no validated consumer SC “energy” dose for Orexin B research vials. Tables below are microgram recon illustrations for laboratory logistics only.

Orexin B 5 mg vials

1 vial

~150 mcg mg total peptide over this 2-day course at 50 mcg → 100 mcg per injection (phase ladder). Each vial holds 5 mg.

Bacteriostatic water

1 × 3 mL bottle

2 mL BAC per vial × 1 vial = 2.0 mL total. Buy as 1× 3 mL bottle or 1× 10 mL bottle (whichever you stock).

U-100 insulin syringes (100-unit)

2+ syringes

About one 100-unit syringe per injection for this schedule. Keep a few spares.

Alcohol swabs & sharps

~6 swabs · 1 sharps container

Wipe vial stopper and injection site each time. Dispose needles in a proper sharps container.

Reconstitution steps

  1. Allow the lyophilized 5 mg Orexin B vial and bacteriostatic water to reach room temperature.
  2. Draw 2.0 mL bacteriostatic water (default for this guide).
  3. Inject BAC slowly down the inner wall of the vial — avoid blasting the powder cake.
  4. Gently swirl or roll until the solution is clear. Do not shake hard (foaming).
  5. Label with recon date and concentration (e.g. "2.5 mg/mL — 2 mL BAC").
  6. Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35–46 °F), protected from light. Prefer using a reconstituted multi-dose vial within ~28 days with sterile technique.

Storage

Lyophilized

Keep dry powder cold and dark when possible (−20 °C / −4 °F preferred for long-term research stock).

Reconstituted

Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35–46 °F). Avoid freeze–thaw of the working solution. Prefer finishing within ~28 days.

  • ·Write recon date and BAC volume on the label.
  • ·Protect from light during storage.
  • ·Discard if cloudy, particulates, or odd odor appear after reconstitution.

Protocol notes

  • ·Not a stimulant “pre-workout” peptide with established human SC protocols.
  • ·Research use only.

Research context & considerations

Orexin B is a hypocretin neuropeptide involved in arousal and feeding regulation. Loss of orexin signaling is central to narcolepsy type 1 biology. Research vials are not approved wake drugs.

  • ·Central nervous system peptide — theoretical risk if misused systemically.
  • ·Not FDA-approved for research-vial consumer use.
  • ·Pregnancy out of scope.
