ACTH 1-39 5 mg
Educational recon guide for a 5 mg ACTH (1-39) research vial and microgram-scale unit mapping. Research use only — not a diagnostic test protocol.

Defaults match this guide (5 mg + 2 mL BAC). Change water or dose and the unit tables below update automatically.
Step 1
Reconstitution
Peptide amount in the vial and how much bacteriostatic water you add.
Step 2
Your dose
This guide uses microgram-scale research doses — quick picks are in mcg (100 mcg = 0.1 mg).
Quick select (mcg) — switch units or type any value
Suggested: 30-unit barrel (smallest that fits this draw).

Fill one 30-unit U-100 syringe to about 0.2 units (0.002 mL).
Research cycle phases
Units and volumes recompute from your Step 1 concentration (2 mL BAC → 2.50 mg/mL · 25.0 mcg/unit). Doses below are once daily during the course — not weekly.
Standard course
Classic human SC dose-response work explored ~1–30 mcg ACTH (1-39). Research-community vial tables sometimes discuss higher mcg–low mg amounts — treat all as educational, not diagnostic orders.
| Phase | Daily dose | Units | Volume |
|---|---|---|---|
| Example · 5 mcg | 5 mcg | 0.2 u | 0.00 mLNear limit of U-100 readability at default recon |
| Example · 25 mcg | 25 mcg0.025 mg | 1 u | 0.01 mL≈1 unit @ 2 mL recon |
| Example · 100 mcg | 100 mcg0.1 mg | 4 u | 0.04 mL≈4 units @ 2 mL recon |
Alternate / higher courses
Shorter or higher daily courses discussed in research communities — not a clinical recommendation
| Phase | Daily dose | Units | Volume |

Supplies planner
Using the guide’s phase ladder (5 mcg → 25 mcg → 100 mcg per injection (phase ladder)) over a 3-day course. Set a dose in Step 2 to plan supplies at your own amount.

ACTH 1-39 5 mg vials
1 vial
~130 mcg mg total peptide over this 3-day course at 5 mcg → 25 mcg → 100 mcg per injection (phase ladder). Each vial holds 5 mg.
Bacteriostatic water
1 × 3 mL bottle
2 mL BAC per vial × 1 vial = 2.0 mL total. Buy as 1× 3 mL bottle or 1× 10 mL bottle (whichever you stock).
U-100 insulin syringes (100-unit)
3+ syringes
About one 100-unit syringe per injection for this schedule. Keep a few spares.
Alcohol swabs & sharps
~8 swabs · 1 sharps container
Wipe vial stopper and injection site each time. Dispose needles in a proper sharps container.
Reconstitution steps
- Allow the lyophilized 5 mg ACTH 1-39 vial and bacteriostatic water to reach room temperature.
- Draw 2.0 mL bacteriostatic water (default for this guide).
- Inject BAC slowly down the inner wall of the vial — avoid blasting the powder cake.
- Gently swirl or roll until the solution is clear. Do not shake hard (foaming).
- Label with recon date and concentration (e.g. "2.5 mg/mL — 2 mL BAC").
- Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35–46 °F), protected from light. Prefer using a reconstituted multi-dose vial within ~28 days with sterile technique.
Storage
Lyophilized
Keep dry powder cold and dark when possible (−20 °C / −4 °F preferred for long-term research stock).
Reconstituted
Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35–46 °F). Avoid freeze–thaw of the working solution. Prefer finishing within ~28 days.
- ·Write recon date and BAC volume on the label.
- ·Protect from light during storage.
- ·Discard if cloudy, particulates, or odd odor appear after reconstitution.
Protocol notes
- ·ACTH (1-39) is the full-length adrenocorticotropic peptide used in endocrine physiology research.
- ·Diagnostic and research doses are often in the microgram range.
- ·This page is unit/recon math only — not a diagnostic test order.
- ·Research use only.
Research context & considerations
ACTH (1-39) stimulates adrenal steroidogenesis via melanocortin receptors (notably MC2R). Research powders are not approved drug products.
- ·Potent effects on cortisol and related steroids — not a casual research peptide.
- ·Not FDA-approved as a research-vial consumer product. Not medical advice.
- ·Pregnancy and pediatric use are outside research-hobby scope.
