Matrixyl 10 mg

Educational recon guide for a 10 mg Matrixyl (palmitoyl pentapeptide-4) research vial. Primarily a cosmetic/topical collagen-signal peptide — injectable use is not a standard clinical pathway.

Defaults match this guide (10 mg + 2 mL BAC). Change water or dose and the unit tables below update automatically.

Step 1

Reconstitution

Research cycle phases

Units and volumes recompute from your Step 1 concentration (2 mL BAC → 5.00 mg/mL · 50.0 mcg/unit). Doses below are once daily during the course — not weekly.

Standard course

Matrixyl is best known as a skincare signal peptide (palmitoyl pentapeptide-4) in topical anti-wrinkle research. There is no established systemic injectable “performance” dose. Tables below are microgram recon illustrations only for lab handling of a lyophilized research vial.

Matrixyl 10 mg vials

1 vial

~350 mcg mg total peptide over this 2-day course at 100 mcg → 250 mcg per injection (phase ladder). Each vial holds 10 mg.

Bacteriostatic water

1 × 3 mL bottle

2 mL BAC per vial × 1 vial = 2.0 mL total. Buy as 1× 3 mL bottle or 1× 10 mL bottle (whichever you stock).

U-100 insulin syringes (100-unit)

2+ syringes

About one 100-unit syringe per injection for this schedule. Keep a few spares.

Alcohol swabs & sharps

~6 swabs · 1 sharps container

Wipe vial stopper and injection site each time. Dispose needles in a proper sharps container.

Reconstitution steps

  1. Allow the lyophilized 10 mg Matrixyl vial and bacteriostatic water to reach room temperature.
  2. Draw 2.0 mL bacteriostatic water (default for this guide).
  3. Inject BAC slowly down the inner wall of the vial — avoid blasting the powder cake.
  4. Gently swirl or roll until the solution is clear. Do not shake hard (foaming).
  5. Label with recon date and concentration (e.g. "5.0 mg/mL — 2 mL BAC").
  6. Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35–46 °F), protected from light. Prefer using a reconstituted multi-dose vial within ~28 days with sterile technique.

Storage

Lyophilized

Keep dry powder cold and dark when possible (−20 °C / −4 °F preferred for long-term research stock).

Reconstituted

Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35–46 °F). Avoid freeze–thaw of the working solution. Prefer finishing within ~28 days.

  • ·Write recon date and BAC volume on the label.
  • ·Protect from light during storage.
  • ·Discard if cloudy, particulates, or odd odor appear after reconstitution.

Protocol notes

  • ·Not a growth-hormone or fat-loss peptide.
  • ·Prefer validated topical cosmetic formulations for skincare research questions.
  • ·Research use only.

Research context & considerations

Palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 (Matrixyl) is studied mainly in dermatocosmetic collagen-signal contexts. Research powders are not approved injectable drugs.

  • ·No established systemic injectable safety package for consumer use.
  • ·Not FDA-approved as an injectable research-vial product.
  • ·Pregnancy out of scope.
