Weekly research phases
Units and volumes recompute from your Step 1 concentration (2 mL BAC → 5.00 mg/mL · 50.0 mcg/unit).
Standard titration
Zadaxin (thymalfasin) monographs commonly use 1.6 mg SC twice weekly for extended courses. Some secondary sheets discuss ~1.5 mg every few days. Research powders are not the pharmaceutical product.

Thymosin Alpha-1 10 mg vials
2 vials
~12.4 mg mg total peptide over this 8-week schedule at 1.6 mg → 1.5 mg weekly (phase ladder). Each vial holds 10 mg.
Bacteriostatic water
2 × 3 mL or 1 × 10 mL
2 mL BAC per vial × 2 vials = 4.0 mL total. Buy as 2× 3 mL bottles or 1× 10 mL bottle (whichever you stock).
U-100 insulin syringes (100-unit)
8+ syringes
About one 100-unit syringe per injection for this schedule. Keep a few spares.
Alcohol swabs & sharps
~20 swabs · 1 sharps container
Wipe vial stopper and injection site each time. Dispose needles in a proper sharps container.
Reconstitution steps
- Allow the lyophilized 10 mg Thymosin α1 vial and bacteriostatic water to reach room temperature.
- Draw 2.0 mL bacteriostatic water (default for this guide).
- Inject BAC slowly down the inner wall of the vial — avoid blasting the powder cake.
- Gently swirl or roll until the solution is clear. Do not shake hard (foaming).
- Label with recon date and concentration (e.g. "5.0 mg/mL").
- Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35–46 °F), protected from light. Prefer using a reconstituted multi-dose vial within ~28 days with sterile technique.
Storage
Lyophilized
Keep dry powder cold and dark when possible (−20 °C / −4 °F preferred for long-term research stock).
Reconstituted
Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35–46 °F). Avoid freeze–thaw of the working solution. Prefer finishing within ~28 days.
- ·Write recon date and BAC volume on the label.
- ·Protect from light during storage.
- ·Discard if cloudy, particulates, or odd odor appear after reconstitution.
Protocol notes
- ·Immune-modulating thymic peptide with pharmaceutical history (thymalfasin/Zadaxin) in some regions.
- ·Research powders ≠ Zadaxin.
- ·Research use only.
Research context & considerations
Thymosin alpha-1 has been studied and used for immune modulation (viral hepatitis and other contexts depending on region). Research-market vials are not a substitute for regulated product under clinician care.
- ·Injection-site reactions common.
- ·Immune-active — clinical context matters.
- ·Not FDA-approved as a research-vial consumer product in this channel.
- ·Pregnancy out of scope.
