Weekly research phases
Units and volumes recompute from your Step 1 concentration (2 mL BAC → 5.00 mg/mL · 50.0 mcg/unit).
Standard titration
Approved dual GIP/GLP-1 products titrate roughly 2.5 → 5 → 7.5 → 10 → 12.5 → 15 mg once weekly if tolerated. Research powders are not branded pens.

Tirzepatide 10 mg vials
6 vials
~60 mg mg total peptide over this 12-week schedule at 2.5 mg → 5 mg → 7.5 mg weekly (phase ladder). Each vial holds 10 mg.
Bacteriostatic water
4 × 3 mL or 2 × 10 mL
2 mL BAC per vial × 6 vials = 12.0 mL total. Buy as 4× 3 mL bottles or 2× 10 mL bottles (whichever you stock).
U-100 insulin syringes (100-unit)
16+ syringes
Some doses need more than one 100-unit syringe at your concentration — plan extras and split draws when the math exceeds the barrel.
Alcohol swabs & sharps
~44 swabs · 1 sharps container
Wipe vial stopper and injection site each time. Dispose needles in a proper sharps container.
Reconstitution steps
- Allow the lyophilized 10 mg Tirzepatide vial and bacteriostatic water to reach room temperature.
- Draw 2.0 mL bacteriostatic water (default for this guide).
- Inject BAC slowly down the inner wall of the vial — avoid blasting the powder cake.
- Gently swirl or roll until the solution is clear. Do not shake hard (foaming).
- Label with recon date and concentration (e.g. "5.0 mg/mL").
- Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35–46 °F), protected from light. Prefer using a reconstituted multi-dose vial within ~28 days with sterile technique.
Storage
Lyophilized
Keep dry powder cold and dark when possible (−20 °C / −4 °F preferred for long-term research stock).
Reconstituted
Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35–46 °F). Avoid freeze–thaw of the working solution. Prefer finishing within ~28 days.
- ·Write recon date and BAC volume on the label.
- ·Protect from light during storage.
- ·Discard if cloudy, particulates, or odd odor appear after reconstitution.
Protocol notes
- ·Dual GIP/GLP-1 agonist — titrate slowly for GI tolerability.
- ·Research powders ≠ Mounjaro/Zepbound pens.
- ·Research use only.
Research context & considerations
Tirzepatide is FDA-approved as branded products for T2D and chronic weight management. Catalog research vials are a separate unregulated channel.
- ·GI effects common during titration.
- ·GLP-1-class label cautions apply.
- ·Not FDA-approved as a research-vial consumer product.
- ·Pregnancy out of scope.
