Synthetic gonadotropin-releasing hormone used to stimulate pituitary LH/FSH release; research and diagnostic endocrine applications.

How to picture it

A GnRH copy: the hypothalamic signal that tells the pituitary to release LH and FSH in pulses. Picture pressing the pituitary's reproductive release button at the true top of the cascade — physiologic control rather than only downstream hormone replacement. Research uses it to study and engage the axis from upstream.

Research focus & benefits

  • Pulsatile GnRH-axis research
  • Fertility and pituitary gonadotropin studies
  • Top-of-cascade reproductive signaling

Benefits describe research interest and pathway rationale — not guaranteed outcomes or medical advice. Research use only.

Overview

Gonadorelin is the decapeptide GnRH that pulses from the hypothalamus to drive pituitary gonadotropins. Clinically used in diagnostic testing and some fertility protocols. In hormone-optimization communities it is discussed for maintaining pituitary function during or after exogenous hormone use.

Mechanism

Binds pituitary GnRH receptors to release LH and FSH, which then drive gonadal steroidogenesis and gametogenesis. Continuous vs pulsatile exposure desensitizes vs stimulates the axis.

Research uses

  • GnRH stimulation testing
  • Fertility and hypothalamic amenorrhea research
  • Pituitary gonadotroph function studies

Research dosing notes

Diagnostic and fertility protocols are medical. Community microdosing is experimental and unsupervised use risks axis disruption.
